Davis’s Prior Role as Assistant Director and Teaching Assistant Professor with Oklahoma State University’s School of Hospitality and Tourism Management Provides the Expertise for New Century Hotel’s Planned Growth
New Century Hotels (NCH) is proud to announce and welcome David W. Davis to their executive management team as Vice President of Operations. David will be responsible for hotel leadership teams, driving revenue, property operations, and a cornerstone for future growth directions.
Dr. Davis holds a PhD. in Hospitality Management from Oklahoma State University (OSU) School of Hospitality and Tourism Management and has been a professor within the program since 2008. As a professor and assistant director Davis pioneered curriculum changes that more closely aligned academic achievement with industry needs, and used innovative instructional strategies that included students creating more than a dozen mobile apps for the hospitality industry. This achievement was recognized in 2018 by the Oklahoma Hotel and Lodging Association which named him ‘Innovator of the Year.’ Prior to his career at OSU, he spent more than 10 years in the hospitality industry successfully managing hotels across the country, receiving numerous industry awards from Hilton, Marriott, and other management companies. Davis has earned and maintains the Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA), Certified Hotel Educator (CHE), and the Certification in Hotel Industry Analytics (CHIA) from the American Hotel and Lodging Educational Institute.
