Co-Founders Zeev Sharon and Nick Colletti introduce Hotelied, a “dating site” for hotel stays that matches travelers with a curated selection of hotels and discounted rates. As an alternative to the overwhelming travel booking landscape, Hotelied offers exclusive rates tailored to each member’s profile. Inspired by a deep-rooted passion for travel and hospitality, Zeev and Nick created Hotelied to fill a gap in the travel industry and impart personalization into the booking experience.
Hotelied gives its members the opportunity to be rewarded for being themselves. With tailored offers, exclusive discounts, strategic partnerships, and emphasis on luxury lifestyle, Hotelied offers a personalized and curated booking experience. With a carefully selected network of hotels for its members to choose from, Hotelied’s database at launch includes hotels in New York, Los Angeles, Miami and Palm Springs, with a national and international rollout taking place over the next year.
Hotelied members begin the process by creating a travel profile, which includes their frequent flier and hotel loyalty programs as well as their LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter profiles, with Instagram to follow shortly. Hotelied culls the information together, while keeping it confidential. Once a member is ready to search for travel he or she may enter travel dates or a destination to see the rates that various hotels will offer. From here, Hotelied compares the member’s search parameters and profile with that of the hotels’, and finally provides hotel options for the member to select. As the Hotelied system does all the matching, members’ profiles are never shared with the hotel partners. Members may decline to enter information into their travel profile, but the more information they provide, the more likely they will be to gain access to a wide variety of exclusive rates.
Through Hotelied’s proprietary dashboard, hotel partners designate which traveler segments get access to what rates. Based on its specific business needs, a hotel may be targeting small groups, guests who work in specific industries such as fashion, entertainment, business, or education, frequent travelers, loyal travelers, and more. In addition, a hotel may want to increase their social media interaction with guests, thus searching for guests with high social influence and a strong digital following. Every hotel’s dashboard is different, which in turn presents every Hotelied member with different and exclusive rates at different hotels. Hotelied does not share its members’ information with hotels; all of the matching is done within the Hotelied system, so members can feel confident their information is kept private.
