Jim Stormont and John Cooper reunite as firm builds on past and new successes
ATLANTA (Jan. 18, 2018) – On the heels of another successful luxury hotel development project, Stormont Hospitality Group is setting its sights in 2018 on further broadening its prowess in strategy and execution as well as expanding its roster of full-service development projects in the coming year.
Following the Jan. 16 opening of the Hotel at Avalon and Alpharetta Conference Center
as well as the debut in mid-2017 of the Renaissance Atlanta Airport Gateway Hotel,
Jim Stormont, President, announced that Stormont Hospitality Group’s strengths in the marketplace will extend further in 2018 with the addition of industry veteran John Cooper.
Cooper reunited with Stormont Hospitality Group this month after a 15-year period at other firms successfully developing and re-positioning more than 35 hotel assets throughout the United States.
As Principal and Executive Vice President, Cooper brings back to Stormont his unique execution and program management capabilities, including oversight of complex projects from planning through completion, as well as programming, architectural and design management, and comprehensive construction execution.
An array of new projects with Stormont Hospitality Group’s leadership is set to get started this year, each of which will benefit from more than three decades of industry leadership strengths and more than $2 billion in projects successfully envisioned, designed, managed and launched.
